If you have a website, you know how much work it takes to rank for various keywords. Once upon a time, you could write a nice article, or a press release, and do pretty well ranking for a particular keyword. But times have changed, and now you have to do a lot more to rank for keywords. Most people work on their webpage's search engine optimization (SEO), both online, and offline. This can be a lot of work, especially if you are working on automotive SEO. But while working on improving how your page ranks in the search engines, be sure that you aren't shooting yourself in the foot when checking your rankings.

Many webmasters forget to clear their cache when checking the ranking of their page in the search engines. This is a simple, and yet useful way to keep the results that you are looking at pure. You don't want to make decisions on changes to your site based off old, outdated data that is stored in your cache. Several companies that do SEO are very good at remembering to clear their cache before checking search results, like ShowroomMagic.

SEO is hard enough as it is. Don't make it harder by forgetting to do something so simple as clearing out your browser's cache.
